This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) describes content and conduct that is prohibited on Otaly. It applies to anyone who accesses the Otaly platform, including Hosts, co-organizers, attendees, and visitors. Violations may result in suspension or termination of access, removal of content, refunds to attendees, and notification to law enforcement.

1. Prohibited content

You must not use Otaly to host events, send messages, or upload content that:

  • Promotes, depicts, or incites violence, terrorism, hate speech, or harassment of individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
  • Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way, or contains non-consensual intimate imagery.
  • Promotes or facilitates illegal activity, including the sale of regulated goods (firearms, controlled substances, counterfeit items) where such sale is unlawful.
  • Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
  • Constitutes defamation, fraud, deceptive practices, or unfair business practices.
  • Contains malware, phishing attempts, or other code intended to harm systems or users.

2. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Misrepresent your identity, the identity of your organization, or the nature of your event (including bait-and-switch ticketing).
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) to attendees or scrape attendee data for purposes outside your event.
  • Attempt to circumvent payment, ticket-limit, fraud-prevention, or content-moderation controls.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or any user account.
  • Use the Services to develop a competing product or to train an AI model on Otaly content without our written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Services.

3. High-risk and regulated activities

Some categories of events require additional caution and may require additional review by Otaly. Examples include political fundraising, financial-services events, alcohol-centric events, ticketed religious gatherings, and events involving health or wellness practices. We may request additional information about these events and may decline to host them at our discretion.

4. Reporting violations

If you encounter content or behavior on Otaly that violates this AUP, please report it to contact form. Provide the URL, a description of the issue, and any relevant supporting information. We review reports promptly and take action as appropriate.

5. Enforcement

Otaly may, in its sole discretion, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, withhold or reverse payouts, and notify law enforcement when we believe a violation has occurred. We aim to enforce this AUP fairly and consistently, but we do not guarantee that we will detect or remove all violating content.
